“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”

– Alexander Graham Bell

A regular mindfulness meditation practice has been shown to improve emotional stability and physical wellbeing on a variety of measures.  It helps you to slow down – pause – and stay present with all that is alive within you… without judgment.  Are you ready to open that door?

You might be asking yourself, “why on earth would I want to be mindful NOW? What good is present-moment awareness in these crazy times? I’d rather be anywhere else instead of HERE.”  These are common questions and very legitimate feelings. We humans are not very comfortable with transitional periods, upheaval, and change. Our tendency is to look backwards to times we are sure were better… or to look forward to the possibility of a better time in the future and think “I’ll be happy if only…”

Seems we prefer to be anywhere but where we are. That’s a problem – because we miss out on so much that is happening every day, right smack in front of us.  Life is a process.  Our feelings will rise and fall, come and go.  We will be uncomfortable.  We will change, morph and transition.  We will struggle.  And some of that process will be painful.  This is where mindfulness meditation & reflection come in.

When you slow down and connect with your own, deep inner wisdom, you are more likely to choose actions from an authentic place of care and empathy, instead of relying on your autopilot, habitual reactive way of being with the world.

Even in our darkest, most stressful moments, there is a seed – a spark – a light – a space within your reach, behind that beckoning door.  A process is unfolding that we know nothing about.  Be part of that process… open the door. It is a joyful experience to be a witness to your own transformation,  your own metamorphosis, your own heart-full growth.

This is your life - be present for it.

What people are saying…

“I have LOVED all of your Be Still sessions and have learned so much from you. You do an excellent job of teaching us so much about calmness and being at peace with ourselves. I had never tried Mindfulness before, so everything was new to me. I really love it now. I use the breathing techniques during the week to calm and center myself.”
