Don’t Push My Buttons!    The wonderful thing about triggers…

The wonderful thing about triggers… Triggers.  We all have them.  Anyone who came through childhood has them, which I assume is pretty much all of us.  Someone says or does something – looks at us with a certain expression, uses a tone of voice, criticizes us unfairly – and we are off to the races!  We are actively creating all sorts of stories and beliefs in our minds; so many that sometimes it can feel as if we are tripping over them.  We are CERTAIN beyond any kind of reasonable doubt that we KNOW precisely what the other person MUST have...

Why did the turtle cross the road?

… There is hope for us!   The adventure started when I saw a slow-moving object in the middle of the road.  I hit the brakes, pulled up close, stopped and got out of the car – leaving the door open and the flashers on as a warning to anyone who might pull up behind me.  And there it was – this wonderful turtle (A snapping turtle, I think).  A young mother came along pushing her child in a stroller and stopped to see what I was doing.  I was taking these pictures, of course!  She shared the moment with her young daughter as...
